Recording Emotions with the Emotiv Headset
Robert Oschler sent in this interesting project which allows Recording Emotions with the Emotiv EEG Headset to sense your mood. Just like the read receipt tells you if and when your email was read this would let you know what type of emotion it conjured.
“EmoRate is an application that demonstrates the power of Affective Computing, a technology that allows computers to detect and react to human emotions and will change drastically the way we interact with them in our daily lives. The last barrier that has held Affective Computing back, an affordable consumer grade EEG headset, has been broken with the introduction of the 14-electrode EPOC headset, created by Emotiv systems, Inc.”

The first example shirt design below is from their Engineer section and the second is one from a contest they are running. After entering this contest be sure to enter theirs.

Thanks to Protostack for sponsoring the contest this week. They will be providing the winner a 28 Pin AVR Development Board ver 1.5 which was featured here earlier in the week.
“This board allows you to quickly build Microcontroller circuits for 28 pin AVR Microcontroller such as ATMEGA8, ATMEGA48, ATMEGA88, ATMEGA168 and ATMEGA328.
One half of the board is dedicated to the microcontroller, whilst the other half resembles our standard prototyping layout and can be used to build your circuits. The board supports a 10 pin ISP connector to program your microcontroller, a reset button, external oscillator and a low pass filter for AVCC. As with our other prototyping boards, it also has power busses, connection strips on the outer edge and many other features. These are listed in the features and benefits section.“
